Anyways, over the past week we have sure had a lot of fun with baby Brooks. The pics below are mommy and daddy taking Brooks to the park after church on Sunday. The park by our house is beautiful and we walked him out onto the pier of Anchor Bay. He slept the whole time, but we sure enjoyed it.
Speaking of church, Brooks made his first appearance at Church this week. Of course, I had to put him back in the outfit that Adam loves so much...not! But, he looks so cute in it I just can't resist. He made it through about the first 15 minutes and then mommy had to take him back to the family room to nurse him. We are so excited to have found a church that has so many ministries and ways to get plugged in. The childrens ministry is amazing and we can't wait to watch Brooks grow in the Lord and learn about Jesus. So, after church we took Brooks to IHOP for his first taste of Sunday brunch. Yummy!
Saturday night was a big MIZZOU game against Nebraska. Grammy and I had been working on something that we were very excited to unveil for the game...it was Brooks' Halloween costume which was a Tiger that we found felt letters to glue onto with the words "MIZZOU TIGER". It was adorable and I think daddy really liked it and was very proud as you can see below.
Over the past week, Adam has enjoyed trying out the baby Bjorn. Brooks really seemed to like it and stayed very alert the whole time!
The pic below is Grammy taking her turn during the dinner shift, and Brooks rubbing his temples just like Uncle Drew!
And, finally, the pictures below are just a few of Brooks showing how he is growing and how alert he has been. I stepped on the scale yesterday with him in my arms and figured that he weighs 8 lbs 8 ounces!! That is up from 7 lbs 5 ounces last Monday...he's a growing boy!! We are enjoying every single moment with every new movement and new expression. It was so amazing watching him stare at Grammy. She would talk to him and he would just look at her with eyes wide open for quite a while. Grammy thought he was staring at her braces, but I just think he knew what a special person she is and will be in his life. We hope all is well with all of you and would love to hear from you anytime! God Bless...
