Happy Thanksgiving!

Well, I am embarrased to say that I am just now updating the blog! These are our Thanksgiving pictures and it is January!! Honestly, I've been so far behind that it has seemed like such a daunting task to catch up. So, what I am going to do is just post a few blogs in the next day or so to catch up. But, I won't be adding my usual narration...just the pictures. It's amazing to see how much Brooks has changed since Thanksgiving. So, here we go! First, these two pics below were sent to me by my photographer and I had to post them. I know most of you have seen then on his birth announcement,. But for those of you who haven't, these were a couple of his newborn pics taken at 4 weeks old. A woman here in Michigan took them and did a fantastic job (Photography by Lois). Thanks Lois!

OK, here we go...traveling home from Wichita to Detroit for Thanksgiving...

Daddy and Brooks time...

Adam's first attempt at sugar cookies...all I can say is they did taste good:)

Sleepy time...

Grammy and Brooks

Crazy hair:)

It's so cold here in Michigan that even the dogs have to cuddle up! And, of course, every baby here needs a pair of Ugg's and a puffy snow suit:)

Thanksgiving was such a nice time with my parents who flew in from Kansas. It was special for my mom and I to cook our first Thanksgiving dinner at our house. We set up the swing beside the table and Brooks slept through the whole thing! The night before, we went to a Thanksgiving service at our church and they handed out these rocks to put on our Thanksgiving table. You were supposed to pass the rock around and tell what you were thankful for. We all had some obvious thankful hearts with our new baby and completion of mom's cancer treatments. But it was also a hard day as we missed Grandpa Duane so much and wished that he would have been with us...he is always in our hearts!!

We were excited to take my parents to our new church. We are so blessed to have found such an amazing church!

We went out to dinner to say goodbye to Grammy and Shrampa. It is always so hard to watch them go and we cherish the memories of our time together!
