Good Times with Grandma Betty!

We were very happy to have Adam's mom, Grandma Betty, out to Michigan for a long weekend. Not only did Brooks love the time with his Grandma, but she might have spoiled him just a little. Lets just say that he didn't spend much time out of her arms while she was in town. He definitely had a reality check when she had to leave...mommy can't hold him all day every day:( I am truly grateful for how much help she was to me! I got a few things done while she was here that have been put off for months! Thank you so much Betty....so, when are you coming back? :)

Of course, Tiger and Shocker always love it when Grandma Betty is here. They love her very much! Every morning they would wake up and run straight up to her bedroom to cuddle with Grandma.

Adam and Grandma Betty spent a few hours down in our basement going through old pictures and scrapbooks. I think this project ended up being a little bigger than they thought. If there is one thing that we don't lack...it's pictures!

I took Brooks to his first Kindermusik class. Kindermusik classes are like Mommy and Me classes with singing, dancing, bright colors, massaging your baby, speaking in rhymes, etc. It was a lot of fun and I think he enjoyed it judging by his many smiles (or maybe he was just trying to show off for Grandma Betty who sat on the side and observed the class).

We were very happy that Grandma Betty got the chance to attend our new church with us. As I've said before, we are so blessed to have found such an awesome church and we were so grateful to share this with her. Of course, Sundays are always fun for mommy....she gets to dress up the baby! Pretty cute, huh?

As you've seen in previous blogs, Brooks has had to become accustomed to hats here in Michigan My favorite is his monkey hat...he seems to like it too:)

There's nothing like a laundry basket to create a good photo opportunity! :)

Daddy and Brooks time is always fun. They love sitting in front of the computer jamming out to their itunes, dancing and laughing, and just chilling out in front of the TV. It is so special to watch this father/son bond grow every day...what a blessing

I tried to explain to Adam that Brooks wasn't quite big enough to be sharing his clothes yet, but he didn't listen. I guess it could work as a sleep sack...

This past week was a huge milestone for us...we started veggies! Thanks to my friend Kari Tovar who encouraged me to make all of my own baby food, I spent the whole last weekend learning to puree green beans, peas, broccoli, carrots, and sweet potatoes (Adam helped me chop up 15 sweet potatoes). Our freezer could not hold one more ounce of homemade baby food at this time, so it's time for Brooks to start eating his veggies. We started with green beans. Let me just say that the gag reflex he had to his first bite wasn't very encouraging. But, after a couple of days, I think he has it down. I might even go as far as saying that I think he likes it. Although, mommy ends up cleaning up quite the mess...as you can see...

I spend half of Super Bowl Sunday giving the dogs a haircut. It was quite the ordeal, one that I am temped to hire out the next time around. But, we got it done and our guys are as cute as ever!

Brooks is still loving his exersaucer and his walker. He squeals and jumps up and down as to say, "Look at me!" Every day is an adventure...one that seems to be going by so quickly!!!! We miss you all so much and can't to see you all again. You are always in our hearts and prayers. Until next time...
